San Diego judge leaves bench for district attorney's office
San Diego County Superior Court Judge Luis R. Vargas will join the county's district attorney office, effective in January. He is scheduled to retire next year after 20 years on the bench before the move. He will provide help on civil litigation, appellate cases and cross-border issues.
