A Los Angeles County judge has filed papers defending herself against an effort by a developer to disqualify her from the case. Superior Court Judge Ann I. Jones filed a declaration Tuesday, and an attorney representing the court argued that she should not be disqualified from considering lawsuits over environmental objections to the project by Newhall Land and Farming Co.
