San Francisco Superior Court administrators are crying foul after state court officials said they have 5.6 too many judges, based on a new study.
"It's damaging and dangerous to have this misperception out there," said San Francisco courts spokeswoman Ann E. Donlan of the statewide study, released late last month. She said 20 percent of its benches are empty.
