A new unsecured creditor in the Howrey LLP bankruptcy has sued 302 former equity-holding lawyers in an attempt to bypass payments owed to secured creditors and recoup money directly from those lawyers.
But outside observers are skeptical the maneuver - a putative class action on behalf of unsecured creditors - will succeed based on federal and state case precedent.
