Arnold & Porter LLP San Francisco Specialty: disability discrimination, family medical leave issues, wage-and-hour class actions


Amar was hired by El Camino Hospital to litigate a precedent-setting case that she said affects every employer that contributes to union-sponsored pension funds on behalf of its unionized employees.


In this case, IUOE Local 39 sued the hospital in federal court to gain access to its financial records and to compel the hospital to contribute more money to the fund.


This year, after a lengthy oral argument, Amar obtained summary judgment on all claims.
