Attorney sentenced for stealing from deceased family friend

An Oakland federal judge sentenced former Linklaters LLP lawyer Igor Purlantov to 24 months in prison for stealing money from a deceased family friend.

An Oakland federal judge sentenced former Linklaters LLP lawyer Igor Purlantov to 24 months in prison for stealing money from a deceased family friend in Contra Costa County and failing to pay taxes on it. He agreed to pay $1.2 million in restitution to the victim's family and $293,000 in back taxes.
