Blue Coat sold to private equity firm for $1.3 billion

Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP helped sell Sunnyvale-based Blue Coat Systems Inc. to private equity firm Thoma Bravo LLC for $1.3 billion, representing the third enterprise software buy announced within a week.

PALO ALTO - Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP helped sell Sunnyvale-based Blue Coat Systems Inc. to private equity firm Thoma Bravo LLC for $1.3 billion, representing the third enterprise software buy announced within a week.
