EPA fines BP subsidiaries
The federal Environmental Protection Agency announced Tuesday it has fined several subsidiaries of oil giant BP America Inc. saying they failed to provide adequate financial assurances to cover cleanup costs for contaminated drinking water, Superfund sites and hazardous waste facilities.

The federal Environmental Protection Agency announced Tuesday it has fined several subsidiaries of oil giant BP America Inc. saying they failed to provide adequate financial assurances to cover cleanup costs for contaminated drinking water, Superfund sites and hazardous waste facilities.
