The Heller Ehrman LLP estate has reached a $2.26 million settlement with eight law firms that hired away its shareholders when it dissolved in 2008.
The settlement, pending approval by a bankruptcy judge, would resolve the estate's claims that the firms wrongly kept $32 million in fees generated from client matters begun at Heller. The estate has now settled 40 of the 50 lawsuits it filed against successor firms. In a court ...
