LOS ANGELES - Federal court officials for the Central District have transferred some cases off the docket of a district judge who has left the bench on indefinite medical leave.
U.S. District Judge Valerie L. Baker Fairbank, 62, is recovering at her home after suffering a seizure in the courthouse earlier this month. Court officials described the leave as temporary.
