Jury Awards Former Inmate $405,000

A Los Angeles jury awarded $405,000 Thursday to a former Twin Towers inmate who claims three jail deputies beat him and pepper sprayed him.

LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles jury awarded $405,000 Thursday to a former Twin Towers inmate who claims three jail deputies beat him and pepper sprayed him.

An eight-person jury in U.S. District Court found that deputies Davie Chang, Kris Cordova and Anthony Pimental committed battery and violated Alejandro Franco's civil rights stemming from at altercation in November 2007.
