Senate Committee Approves Birotte

The Senate Judiciary Committee approved the nomination of Andre Birotte Jr. Thursday to become the U.S. attorney in Los Angeles.

The Senate Judiciary Committee approved Andre Birotte Jr.'s nomination Thursday to become the U.S. attorney in Los Angeles. Birotte, who passed the committee without debate on a voice vote, now awaits confirmation by the full Senate.
