Judge Steps Down After 24 Days

Citing personal problems, Ventura County Superior Court Judge William Brennan Lynch resigned from the bench Friday, just 24 days after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed him.

Ventura County Superior Court Judge William Brennan Lynch resigned from the bench last week, just 24 days after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed him.

"It had nothing to do with the court or the job, it was more a question of the distance," Lynch said. "I live in Santa Barbara and probably should've just politely declined the appointment from Governor Schwarzenegger....
