RIVERSIDE - Officials in this county decided Tuesday to offer early retirement to 78 Superior Court employees to attempt to avoid layoffs amid deep funding cuts.
The Board of Supervisors approved giving the workers an additional two years of service credit to their pension accounts if they retire between Feb. 1 and May 1.
