SAN FRANCISCO - Alameda County Superior Court Judge Barbara J. Miller, the court's first female presiding judge and the creator of its domestic-violence court, has died. She was 58.
Miller, who made headlines last year presiding over a high-profile dispute between UC Berkeley and environmentalist tree-sitters, was found dead in her home in Oakland on Friday, authorities said. Res...
