Judge Won't Toss Countrywide Case
Arguments made by former mortgage executives trying get civil fraud charges dismissed were "extremely unpersuasive," a federal judge said.

LOS ANGELES - A federal judge issued a pointed rebuke of attempts by three former top mortgage executives from Countrywide Financial Corp. to dismiss civil fraud charges, writing that he would not dignify their "extremely unpersuasive" arguments with a response.
