Court Weighs Worker Status

The U.S. Supreme Court asked the Obama administration to weigh in on an Arizona law that requires employers to check the immigration status of workers.

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court has asked the Obama administration for its views on a controversial Arizona law, upheld by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which requires employers to check on the immigration status of their workers.

The decision by the justices does not imply that they will definitely hear the case, but indicates that they are seriously considering it.
