'Bananas!' Filmmaker Hit With Defamation Suit

Dole Food Co. filed a defamation suit Wednesday against the filmmaker of a documentary that it alleges maligned Dole by portraying it as an evil corporation that knowingly harmed its workers with a dangerous pesticide. The suit also accuses the filmmaker of glamorizing the Los Angeles lawyer who brought the cases, never mentioning that he now stands accused of fraud.
