The renewable energy industry is about to be boosted by another kind of green - stimulus bill funds.

The renewable energy industry - including wind, solar, geothermal, biomass and other renewable energy resources - has enjoyed almost a decade of unprecedented growth. The U.S. wind industry alone added over 13,500 megawatts of new projects in 2007 and 2008, enough to provide electricity for over 3.7 million homes at an aggregate capital investment of over $25 billion.
