Court Throws Out Malpractice Verdict Against Seyfarth Shaw
Seyfarth Shaw managed to avoid a body blow from celebrity karate instructor Billy Blanks at least in the first match. A state appellate court Friday threw out a multimillion dollar jury verdict against the firm and one of its Los Angeles partners over missteps in their representation of Blanks, creator of Tae Bo fitness routines popular in the 1990s.
