Law Firm Merger Activity Drops in Third Quarter

A turbulent economy may not be the best time for a wedding.

A turbulent economy may not be the best time for a wedding. The latest survey of law firm merger activity shows that firm tie-ups have dropped precipitously in the third quarter. Released Tuesday by legal consulting group, Altman Weil Inc., the survey found that 14 law firm mergers took place this quarter compared with 26 in the second quarter.
