Judge Sends Milberg Defendant to Prison

A federal judge on Monday sentenced a cooperating witness in the Milberg Weiss case to three months in prison, rejecting for a second straight time the prosecutors' recommendations for leniency.

LOS ANGELES - A federal judge on Monday sentenced a cooperating witness in the Milberg Weiss case to three months in prison, rejecting for a second straight time the prosecutors' recommendations for leniency.

Prosecutors had suggested probation without home confinement for Howard J. Vogel, 64, a retired mortgage broker from New Jersey.
