McAfee Ex-GC Acquitted in Options Case
A federal jury on Friday returned a not guilty verdict on two counts of mail fraud against McAfee Inc.'s former general counsel Kent H. Roberts. The judge, Marilyn Patel, told prosecutors they should not refile two other counts on which the jury hung.

SAN FRANCISCO - A federal jury on Friday returned a not guilty verdict on two counts of mail fraud against McAfee Inc.'s former general counsel Kent H. Roberts, after a two-week criminal stock options trial.
The panel failed to reach a verdict on a second theory of mail fraud included in the first two counts and on a third count, falsifying company books.
