Studio Gets $14 Million After Judge Rejects Claim of Arson

A Superior Court judge has ordered an insurance company to pay a Burbank sound studio $14.1 million after rejecting the insurer's claim that policyholders intentionally burned down the building four years ago.

LOS ANGELES - A Superior Court judge has ordered an insurance company to pay a Burbank sound studio $14.1 million after rejecting the insurer's claim that policyholders intentionally burned down the building four years ago.

"The evidence is insufficient to demonstrate it is more likely than not that this fire was intentionally set," Judge Laura A. Matz wrote in her 20-page decision.
