Members of the Beverly Hills Bar Association gathered at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotel Tuesday to welcome incoming association president Lawrence H. Jacobson, incoming Barristers president Jaison T. Benjamin and incoming foundation president Uzzi O. Raanan. Jacobson, a 40-year veteran attorney specializing in real estate and business matters, is a professor, author and past chair of the BHBA Real Estate Section. He replaces outgoing president Stephen L. Raucher, a litigator specializing in complex business litigation and insurance recovery at Reuben, Raucher & Blum. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Louis M. Meisinger administered the oath of office to Jacobson. The bar association also took the opportunity to recognize several members for outstanding service. Jonathan A. Stein received the President’s Award; Elizabeth A. Moreno was given the Board of Governors’ Award; Gary J. Weyman accepted the Executive Director’s Award; Kenneth G. Petrulis received the Louis B. Fox Award, and Deborah Fontaine was given the Lawrence J. Blake Award. — Erica Phillips
