SAN DIEGO - Two Superior Court commissioners with 40 years of experience between them have retired.

SAN DIEGO - Two Superior Court commissioners with 40 years of experience between them have retired.
      James L. Duchnick officially retired March 31 but remained on the bench until June 1. Jerome E. Varon, who officially retired March 30, will continue to work at the Kearny Mesa court north of downtown until judges elect his and Duchnick's replacements later this month, according to Karen Dalton, the court spokeswoman.
