Riverside Inmate Loses Habeas Relief
WASHINGTON - Issuing its second summary reversal of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in less than a month, the Supreme Court ruled Monday that the San Francisco-based appeals court was wrong to grant habeas relief to an inmate who was denied access to a law library before he represented himself in court.
