Judge Mediates Lawmakers' Asbestos Talks
WASHINGTON - Political efforts to create a national asbestos trust fund are continuing this week as businesses, insurance companies and labor organizations negotiate with Senate leaders to craft compromise legislation that would compensate asbestos victims while giving companies immunity from future lawsuits.
