Court Rebukes Lawyers, Dismisses Case on Peremptory Challenges for Race
WASHINGTON - With a strong rebuke to the lawyers on both sides, the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a case over the California rule that sets a high barrier for defense attorneys attempting to get prosecutors to explain why they have used peremptory challenges to strike minorities from juries.
