The Los Angles County Public Defender’s Office held its first annual holiday celebration for juvenile detainees at Sylmar Juvenile Hall on Dec. 19. Officials say the hall’s far away location means the detainees get few visitors. The I Am Foundation donated books at the event for the wards.
