Mauling Victim Died of Blood Loss, Official Says

LOS ANGELES - San Francisco's chief medical officer testified Monday that Diane Whipple, who was mauled to death by dogs owned by neighbors, died of severe blood loss, a severed jugular vein and a crushed larynx, which rendered her unable to breathe or speak.
