The California Employment Lawyers Association’s Diversity Committee held its first Diversity Leadership Summit on May 12 at Loyola Law School. The event was funded by a grant provided by the Labor & Employment Law Section of the State Bar of California and in alliance with several multi-cultural bar organizations, including the Langston Bar Association, Mexican American Bar Association, South Asian Bar Association and the Philippine American Bar Association, the Disability Rights Legal Center at Loyola Law School, as well UCLA Law School, USC Law School, Southwestern Law School, UC Irvine Law School and Whittier College School of Law. Keynote speaker at the event was consultant Usha Sampath. -Connie Lopez
