Court Upholds Social Worker Visits for Kids
LOS ANGELES - In what child advocates are hailing as a significant victory for the rights of 59,000 foster children, an appellate court affirmed a Los Angeles Juvenile Court presiding judge's order requiring monthly visits to dependents by social workers, unless a waiver is granted by a Juvenile Court bench officer.
