Tenants May Clarify Rental History Contained in Registry's Database
Unlawful Detainer Registry Inc. is a California corporation that obtains data on residential tenants, compiles it into a database and provides this information for a fee, usually to landlords and property management companies. Its data comes primarily from court records, including unlawful-detainer actions and bankruptcies. It also gets information directly from its clients. See Cisneros v. U.D. Registry Inc., 39 Cal.App.4th 548 (1995).
