Lawyer Knows His Way About Washington

WASHINGTON - Before he started hanging out with terrorism czar Tom Ridge, Edward E. McNally was busy with hanging chads. Before McNally was named by Ridge and White House Counsel Alberto Gonzalez to be general counsel for the new Office of Homeland Security, he was among the planeloads of lawyers involved in the Florida recount squabble that ended the presidential election stalemate of Campaign 2000.
