Prosperous Times Can Trigger Unfair-Hiring Suits

Employment Column - By Arthur F. Silbergeld - The economy finally is showing signs of recovery following Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan's announcement that recovery is on an upswing. This should result in a resurgence in law firm hiring. Firms and companies should therefore review their hiring and employment policies in order to avoid legal pitfalls that could lead to costly employment suits such as age and mental disability discrimination suits.
