Woman Wins Appeal for Fees in Rights Suit
LOS ANGELES - The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that Los Angeles County's policy to accept civil rights settlements for a lump sum including attorney fees violated a woman's right to hire a lawyer who could seek statutory attorney fees.
