LOS ANGELES - Officially, they are now a class of woe, twice over. That was the result of a ruling last week by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Peter D. Lichtman, who ruled that 252 plaintiffs - many of them widows, amputees or paraplegics - could form a class to sue a company they entrusted with more than $100 million in settlement awards from previous litigation.
