Justice Kennedy Goes to High School

WASHINGTON - An on-the-record briefing by a justice in the Supreme Court pressroom - a retirement, perhaps? No, the extremely unusual session Friday afternoon was held to give Justice Anthony M. Kennedy a chance to talk about his latest teaching project. Kennedy has come up with a national education program, employing lawyers and judges, that will stress the rule of law and this country's democratic values in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
