Act Takes On Absurd Meaning

In 1990, the U.S. Congress passed the Americans with Disabilities Act. The goals of the disabilities act are laudable. It was passed to address the discrimination faced by the disabled. Given its purpose, it is difficult to argue with the goals of the disabilities act. However, setting lofty goals and achieving them are two different things.
