Many Cannot Afford Lawyers Because of State Bar Policy

One hears everywhere that there are too many lawyers, that California soon will have given out 200,000 bar cards, that every fifth car on the freeway is carrying a lawyer and, of course, that any or all of the state's social or economic ills are exacerbated thereby. It's becoming an urban legend.
