High Court May Punt Affirmative-Action Case
WASHINGTON - Facing for the third time a highly charged affirmative-action case from Colorado, the Supreme Court indicated Wednesday it will not decide the dispute over federal contracting programs but instead will send the case back to the lower courts to resolve factual questions.
