ABA Vows at Conference to Vet Nominees, Come Rain or Shine
CHICAGO - When the Bush administration in March snatched away the American Bar Association's 50-year-old job of rating potential federal judges before they are nominated, the association was stunned. But it vowed to continue evaluating nominees, and Democrats in the Senate vowed to wait for and consider the ABA's ratings.
