Employees' union sounds alarm about State Bar investigators' caseloads

One of the union's presidents also said the demands put on staff have resulted in high attrition and difficulties in hiring.

A leader of the State Bar employees' union told the agency's board Friday that caseloads for investigators in the attorney discipline unit are "nearing crisis levels" and negatively impacting their ability to protect the public from unethical lawyers.
