LA sheriff's deputies sue judge over alleged misconduct as DA

A suit filed Wednesday against Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Kevin Stennis and former Los Angeles County Undersheriff Paul Tanaka on behalf of two Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies alleges that the judge, as a former deputy district attorney, hid exculpatory evidence and colluded with a witness who lied under oath.

A lawsuit filed Wednesday by two Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies alleges that Superior Court Judge Kevin Stennis, when he was a deputy district attorney, hid exculpatory evidence and colluded with a witness who lied under oath during the plaintiffs' trial because of a grudge against the plaintiffs held by former LA County Undersheriff Paul Tanaka.
