The state Supreme Court struck down California State University's anti-SLAPP motion Thursday in a discrimination case that demonstrates the limits of government agencies invoking the defense.
Justice Kathryn M. Werdegar wrote that protected speech is not the direct issue in this case and her colleagues concurred with a unanimous decision.
