Bill amended to make pro bono disclosure optional

The revised legislation still requires lawyers to report their annual pro bono hours to the State Bar, as well as the amount donated to legal aid groups

The bill that would have required California attorneys to publicly disclose each year the amount of money they donated to legal aid organizations, as well as the number of pro bono hours they worked, has been amended to make the disclosures optional.
