The State Bar has decided to scale back benefits provided to its executive staff in the midst of a state audit that is said to be examining the agency's compensation practices.
Starting next year, the bar's nearly 100 executive and confidential-level employees will no longer receive free health benefits, but will have to pay at the same rate as union staff.
