Cities grappling with 'short-term rental scofflaws'
On May 6, San Francisco's city attorney announced a settlement marking the first widely reported resolution of an action against property owners for their use of online short-term rental platforms, like Airbnb.





On May 6, San Francisco's city attorney issued a news release announcing that the city's lawsuit against "short-term rental scofflaws" Darren and Valerie Lee had ended in a settlement, under which the Lees agreed to pay $276,000 to the city.
