Irell & Manella LLP Los Angeles Patent


Chu and his Irell team secured a hefty $175 million settlement last May on behalf of Juniper Networks Inc. in a patent battle against upstart competitor Palo Alto Networks Inc.


"Juniper from day one said it was going to protect its IP rights," Chu said. "The settlement was certainly an excellent result. There's no appeal and there's no expenditure on attorney fees from the parties."
